It’s starting to feel a lot like Christmas….

On Saturday we decided to make a Ginger Bread Train bright and early! Crawford was under the weather for most of the Thanksgiving break with a cold and it seems as if we have all caught it! You can tell by his little face below he is not feeling like his normal self. So I thought a little sugar and a train might help him! Well….lets just say those ginger bread houses are harder than they look and a 2 year old would rather do it ALL by himself than to let his Mommy Help!

Below are a few pictures…..

I had to give him two packs of crackers and cheese just to keep him from eating the train and candy!

I think if I lick the Candy it might help it stick!!!!

Finished product…Mommy gave up and decided to let Crawford do what ever he wanted. Well…He wanted to eat it!!!

Here Mommy, You try it! It’s really Good!

If I learned anything from this experience it was to be patient and everything does not have to be perfect! Once I let Crawford do what ever he wanted we had much more fun! Who cares if it doesn’t look like the one on the box! I think they painted that one on anyway! And I know they didn’t use the supplies that came with the box! We had so much fun at 7 AM on Saturday! I couldn’t think of anything else I would rather be doing at that time! :-)

It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas at our house ! 1 Big tree, 2 mini trees and 3 to go! We should be all decorated by the end of the week! A big Thank you to my mom for coming in town to help me! And Crawford is actually a big help also! He loves to put the decorations on the tree! We made him a tree of his own this year..pictures to come! As much as Crawford LOVES to help decorate the tree he loves to take the decorations of as well! All of the Balls on the tree are HIS! Good thing they are not breakable this year!

Crawford helping decorate the tree…more pictures to come!

Please keep my Mimi in your prayers…..she recently had a stroke last week and now is back in the hospital with possible pneumonia! We were able to spend a nice Thanksgiving with her and she had seemed to have recovered from the stroke. Hopefully she will be back to normal soon!

A few updated post below

I finally updated the blog. Scroll down to Halloween and the Lazy Five Ranch!

Things are going good for us, just really busy! Crawford is 26 Months and in full force! He makes me laugh every day! It’s amazing how funny 2 year olds can be! We have started potty training …well kind of! They have started at school so Crawford is becoming interested.  We got him a Thomas Potty so every time he needs to go he says Choo Choo Pee Pee! :-) He gets so excited after he goes. It’s so cute!

Bedtime has gotten so much better, he for the most part is going to bed on his own. After prayers and a book and a few rounds of him begging us to lay down he goes to sleep on his own! He even kicked me out of his room this past weekend telling me bye bye and shutting the door. I checked on him a few minutes later and he was fast asleep!

He is using his words so much more now! Forming sentences! Some we cannot understand but they mean something to him! His most used phrase right now is Not Nice, I don’t like that! He told it to a little girl at school the other day when I picked him up. She had pinched him right when I walked in.

This weekend I was in the Kitchen and he was riding his scooter around the house! He fell off and he yelled and pointed to the scooter “not nice”!

and then …… it was poring rain the other day and very windy. Our umbrella flipped inside out on the way to the car and the rain was poring on us! He said Not Nice Wa Wa…Not nice the entire ride home!

He even told Pop Pop not nice when he was playing with him!

So needless to say Not Nice is used a lot these days!

Crawford is saying so much more but one other phrase he likes to say is one more! However he doesn’t know that one more means only one more or maybe he does know and is testing me! He will keep saying it over and over until he gets one more and one more and one more after that! it’s so funny but at times can drive you crazy! If he doesn’t get one more than that results in a normal 2 year old tantrum! Wow, those can be intense sometimes! But just as the tantrums come so do the random hugs and kisses without being asked! It can be so rewarding after a long day!

So far Crawford does not want a brother or a sister! I hope he will one day! I don’t think he really understands and he says no to anything he doesn’t understand!

I am 15 weeks pregnant and still feeling much better! It’s harder the 2nd time I think! Mainly b/c of the 2 year old stuck to my hip! But I wouldn’t trade that for a minute! He melts my heart!

Rain Rain Go Away…….

DSC_0353

I promise to have updates coming this week. I still need to post pictures from Halloween and our trip to the Lazy 5 Ranch! I have been so busy I hardly have time to blog! I am going through withdrawals!!

I am 14 Weeks Pregnant this week and things have started to go much better, tired all of the time but not sick! We find out Dec. 16th, if we are having Coltin or Caroline! We can’t wait! Crawford still says no if I ask him if he wants a brother or sister! I think he will change his mind!

He is so funny these days! Talking up a storm!

Stay tuned for updates this week and check out my new Photography blog. The link is to the right. I will be updated that this week as well!

Halloween

Well all I can say is I am WAY behind on post!!! Things are so busy right now and I miss updating my blog more often! I can’t imagine what things will be like when #2 gets here!

Below are Halloween Pictures! We did not do much trick or treating because it was raining but we did get all dressed up and played for a while! Crawford still loves his costume! It took a lot to get him in this outfit! I started a few weeks before Halloween and I had to give him candy just to get in it! Now I have to hide it to keep from having to dress him in it! I found it and loved it but they only had 18 months…being that Crawford is a well fed 24 month old….I wasn’t sure if it would work but like my friend Leslie once said, “Fashion before Comfort”! So we tried it and other than being a little short it worked and he loved it! He runs around the house trying to scare us and he gets so excited! Crawford loved playing with the pumpkins. He would move them from one end of the porch to the other and that would entertain him for a good hour!

Through the Years!! Wow he has changed so much and he will Kill me one day for the very first picture! I miss the days where he just sat still on the bed and let me take as many pictures as I wanted but love the days of chasing him to capture a sweet smile and watching him laugh!

Halloween 3 years

We hope everyone had a Very Happy Halloween! We sure did!

Lazy 5 Ranch

Melissa, Hagen, Crawford and I went to the Lazy 5 Ranch on Halloween day! The weather was supposed to be nice however it was misting the entire time! I would recommend this over the Zoo any day! It is located in Salisbury. You can either drive your car or ride the wagon through to see all of the different animals. We chose the Wagon ride!  Crawford at times would get scared but so would I! There were some LARGE animals wanting our food! It was so neat to get so close to some of the animals that at a zoo you can only see from far away! We had a great time with Hagen and Melissa! Crawford and Hagen are so funny together! We had a picnic lunch and went to the petting zoo at the ranch after our ride! Their website is www.lazy5ranch.com.
