Our Christmas Card.....2010
What a wonderful Christmas....lots of updates coming soon!!!
So most who read this probably know that I am loving photography! I recently did a one on one workshop with Katy Cook in Marion!
She is a great Photographer! She offered to take pictures of Caroline and let me bring my Camera along! I had Crawford's pictures taken at the same age so I wanted some of just her and of course him with her!
I didn't pull my camera out until the end b/c well anyone who takes there kids to get pictures done knows how stressful it is just making sure they are acting right!! Thankfully my mom went along and helped to keep Crawford entertained... See picture below as to why he needed to be entertained!! :-) (as he pulls her hat off, throws it in the corner and then attempts to sit on her head) One day she will pay him back!!!!
So I took a few pictures and below are some of them....I haven't finished going through them yet but wanted to post what I had.
Katy took some great ones and I can't wait to see the rest of what she captured!
Katy at work
My Sweet Girl....loving the camera!!
I love this!!!!
I wish I would have been straight in front of her for this one...but Katy was and she got an awesome picture!!!
Well Now Caroline is well on her way to 8 Months Old...It's hard to believe and I am so behind with her updates! And I also just found her Stats that I misplaced from her 2 week Check up until her 6 month check up...i even had the nurse write them down again for me and I lost them....I am blaming on the 2 kid thing!!! It really is much tougher to remember anything with 2 kids...well it was with one as well!
So Caroline was 6 months on Oct. 26th
She weighed 14lbs and is in the 25th percentil.. and as I type this I can't find her height....so I guess I will find it later and fill it in.
She has been sitting since around 5 months, she is really jabbering now. It's so cute!
She loves to eat her baby food! She has tried ever veggie and fruit offered in stage one and loves rice cereal. (Crawford did not like it)
She rolls over both ways now!
Loves to sit and play with her Brother.
Hates to be alone for even one minute!
Is attached to her Mommy lately!!! Making house work near impossible!
She is a very Happy baby other than when she is alone!
She Laughs all of the time...the cutest is when she laughs at Crawford!
She still loves her Paci and so do We!! Crawford never took one and now I wish he did!
and then she turned 7 Months on Nov. 26th!
She can now sit up on her own from the laying position.
She is about to Crawl any day! She rocks back and forth but either falls to her tummy or goes backwards...which really makes her mad!
She is starting to pull up on things!
She Loves to watch and laugh at Crawford!
Seems to be teething but still no teeth!
She looks like a good mix of all of us!
She has so much hair!!! Twice as much as Crawford!
She does not like to wear bows! We are in training!
She still sleeps through the night and takes 2 naps a day!
She has Big Blue Eyes!
Another 7 Month Favorite Picture of Mine!
If my Mommy doesn't feed me fast enough I will eat my feet!
The Holiday season has come in with our first snow! We are full force into the hustle and bustle of trying to get all the decorations up and presents bought and wrapped. Of Course I have not even done 1/2 of my shopping...I have never been one to get it done early..I wish I was!! Ever since I have had Caroline I am even more behind on things! My mom came down this weekend and finally helped me get the decorating done! We were on the go the entire time buying this and getting that...barely even resting for a minute before going somewhere else.....I remember growing up....it just didn't seemed so rushed...maybe it was that our parents just took care of it and kids just don't notice the rush or have things changed?? In my MOPS group today we listened to a song by Amy Grant called "i need a silent night", and it really hit home to me! I feel as if we get so wrapped up on all the things that need to be done that we loose the meaning of Christmas and what we are celebrating! I want to make sure that I instill in Crawford and Caroline the true meaning of Christmas. That I stop and soak it in! I want to celebrate and start traditions with my family. This year were making a Birthday Cake for Jesus. Crawford is so excited. He talks about it all the time. While I was reading him a Christmas book tonight he said "Mommy do you remember that Christmas is Jesus birthday?", in the sweetest voice. Yes, I do I said....and I continued reading...a few minutes later he repeats....Mommy, Christmas is Jesus Birthday! He just melts my heart! Tomorrow we are going to see the live Nativity Scene at a church near by. We bought the little people nativity scene and he loves playing with it!
So this year....I didn't get that perfect Christmas Picture for the Card....or a perfect picture with Santa....but I will still be sending it out....my packages may not be perfectly wrapped or have a bow on them and I am going to try to not worry about the 15 ornaments Crawford put on one branch but I am more importantly starting traditions.....slowing down and enjoying the reason we celebrate Christmas and am so excited to teach my Children about it!
Push Pause on the music below at bottom of page.
Caroline's First Snow! Crawford so Excited to show her!
Crawford could not wait to decorate the tree....he begged and begged us to get it up!
Caroline not to Happy to meet Santa Clause....I however thought he was a lovely Santa!!
Crawford ran up to Santa first thing and told him what he wanted before i could even get my camera out of the bag and then wanted nothing to do with him when I did get my camera !
I really didn't think caroline would get so upset this year!
I am So behind...I plan on catching up ......really soon!!!
Until Then.....here are a few pictures of Caroline at 6 1/2 Months and Crawford at 3 Years
More pictures to come...here is a preview of our Halloween!!!!
I can't keep up with the photo's...I will be posting more tomorrow and of Caroline's 6 month checkup!
So much going on!!!
Caroline's first wagon ride and Crawford's first Crush.
Caroline loved riding with her brother in the Wagon!!!
unfortunately I didn't get our neighbor who is 5 years old in the picture...however you can see from below that Crawford has a serious crush on her...i don't think the feelings are the same! They fight more like brother and sister and have a date almost every night at the park. We call them park stalkers b/c they both can see the park from the house...they wait until someone is a the park and then run through the house screaming let's go to the park someone is there!! It's so funny! Needless to say...We keep the blinds shut occasionally! You can only take so much!!! But we do love being walking distance!!!
it's so hard to get them to look at the camera at the same time!!!! But I eventually did!!!!
Oh how I love watching Crawford with Caroline...he is so gentle (well most of the time), he loves her so much....and I know oneday they will start there fighting like normal brother and sister's do...but for now....I am just enjoying watching how Caroline's eyes light up when she see's him and how he runs to her!!! It's just the sweetest thing ever!!!
My little boy is Growing up!!!!!!!!!
Caroline turned 5 months old on 9.26...but as you can see I am so far behind!!!
Sweet Caroline 5 Months old and such a joy to be around! She is such a sweet baby!
She has found her feet and loves to get them in her mouth...along with anything else she can get her hands on! She loves to talk and laughs if you say boo or throw her in the air!
She gets very mad and starts screaming if anyone is playing rough with Crawford...it's so sweet. It's like she is being protective over him. Jacob said it should be the other way around...Crawford should be watching after her! Oh how he does! He loves her so much!
Her favorite toys are Sophie and her taggie blanket.
She is eating Stage One baby food and loves it! She eyes solid foods ...I think she really wants a cheeseburger!! It want be long! Gosh time goes so fast!!!
She is sitting up...she still falls over so I wouldn't dare leave her alone yet sitting but she is well on her way!!!
My Mimi West passed away last night. As sad as I am that she is not here anymore...I am so Happy she is no longer suffering. It was so hard for me to see her suffer.
She was such a strong lady who battled a lot! She never gave up and always recovered from any obstacle thrown her way!
We were so close and I will miss her greatly and am sad my children will not know her like I did
....but am so Thankful I have so many great memories I can share with them!

The Pictures below are Mimi meeting Caroline for the first time!
I love this Poem, by Bob Perks, I wish you enough.........and I feel like I had so many Hello's to hold onto that help me get through it all....she was loved dearly and will be missed so much! But I am Thankful she is pain free and looking down on me!
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough “Hello’s” to get you through the final “Goodbye.”

Picture Below is Crawford telling Mimi goodbye from a visit last year.
Jon Hoban has taught Crawford to Love Wake! He runs around doing his dance and chanting Go Deacs....his daddy is not very happy!
I am a bit behind...and since Caroline is 5 months old...I thought I better sneak this post in!
She was 4 months back on Aug. 26th...and as you can see I am just now posting about it. Time sure does go by fast!
Caroline is such a Happy baby minus the reflux....and car seat....however we seem to have that under control and she is doing great.
She LOVES her Big Brother. Her eyes light up every time she see's him. She is rolling over from front to back. She Laughs and Coo's a lot.
