Pool Time and Visit with Grammy and Pop Pop

Crawford and I had a day of fun! Just Mommy and Crawford! Jacob is on his way to Key West!! We are a little jealous but we had fun in sun ourselves today! We broke out the bathing suit and baby pool! It was a little cool but we got used to it! Below are a few pictures of our day of fun! We went to Grammy and Pop Pop's for dinner tonight and had fun as usual over there!

Ducks and Cats Oh My

On Sunday Jacob and I decided to take Crawford to the NC Zoo for a quick family visit. It's not often that we find a free weekend lately to do something as a family so we took advantage on Sunday. It was the perfect day to go to the zoo and since Crawford had a cold we skipped church to get an early start! We timed it perfect b/c it started raining as we were leaving. We learned last year that all of our favorite stuff was in Africa, so we decided to park in Africa and stay in Africa.

We had a great weekend even though it was a sick one! You would never know by the pictures below that Crawford had a temperature of 104.2 the night before! Another Ear Infection and something viral as well! Poor Guy just can't catch a break. He is so used to his ears hurting that I think he thinks its normal. He no longer pulls at them so its hard for us to even know he has an infection! Hopefully Summer will bring the end to the ear infections!

Crawford mowing grass! He is such a big help to daddy!! He takes it very serious even turning all the knobs before he starts and when the bubbles come out he stops and shouts BUBBLES!!

Saturday night we went to Casey and Ryan's stock the shed party and had a great time! Crawford was all over the place! I have more pictures but for now couldn't leave out the one below in Pop Pop's cowboy hat!!

Stay tuned for a few more post when I find the time...we went to the Zoo today for a short trip! We had a great time. The NC zoo is about 30 minutes from us! So Convenient! We learned quickly after our trip last year that Africa was our favorite part. Since we were making it a quick trip we parked in Africa and stayed in Africa. Crawford saw ducks and cats!! I'll explain in the post hopefully later this week!

Crawford hopped in the back so I took over the driver seat! Believe it or not it did move with me on it...a little slow but it did move!!

At Our House the Remote can be used for more than one thing! We can change the channels and/or we can talk on it!

19 Months

Wow! 19 Months has brought so much joy to our life!! There is not a day that goes by that Crawford does not make us laugh. He does the funniest things! It's hard to imagine that we are just 5 sweet months away from having a 2 Year old!! He is becoming so independent. Only doing things when he wants to do it. If I ask him to eat something he usually will not, but if I turn around he will put it in his mouth! So Independent! While he is funny he also is SO sweet! Giving Kisses and Hugs to everyone!

A few new words...it's really hard with me to keep up with these days!

Milk, Backpack (thanks Dora), Turtle, Blue, Truck, eat, No (can you believe after all of the NO's we tell him he is just now saying it??) He points his finger 3 times when he says no! Balloon-Boon, Eye, Horse-Hore, nose-no

(I know there are more, I just can't think of them now)

He is beginning to learn his A,B,C's.

He still loves bubbles and his golf clubs!

Tonight when were were saying our prayers, Crawford folded his hands while I whispered our prayers. When I was finished he cupped his hands over his mouth leaned up to my ear and made the whisper noise, smiled and folded his hands back. I could not help but laugh out of surprise which instantly made him do it again! I wish I knew what was going through his mind! Maybe he was saying an extra prayer!

More Easter

We had such a great Easter Weekend! It was filled of lots of family time..Just what we like.

My mom(mimi) came into town on Thursday for the weekend! We had a great visit. We took Crawford to the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday and then Jacob's parents had us all over for lunch on Sunday!

All of the people Crawford convinced to take him on the golf cart! He loves this thing! We have to hide it from him and spell it out otherwise he goes Crazy for it!! We were having so much fun on Sunday we did not put him down for his nap, he finally passed out on Pop Pop's shoulder at 4:00! I could not believe he lasted that long without fussing! He was a trooper!!

We had such a great Easter and a great weekend spending with family!

I have so many great pictures from a great Easter Weekend with our Family...However it's really late and I must go to bed!! Below are just a few! I have MANY to share this week!!

On Saturday we took Crawford to the Old Town Easter Egg Hunt...lets just say Crawford was more interested in watching everyone else run around than he was getting eggs for himself. I think we left with 6. One boy ran up and took Crawford's egg. He told Crawford he was helping his sister. He was probably 8 years old in the 3 and Under section!! He was so serious and cute!! I heard his mom fuss at him and he said "he said it was OK". Too Funny! What a sweet Big Brother to help his little sister!!

Well...we had to have a little digital help in order to get Crawford with the Easter Bunny this year!! He kept telling him Bye!

Saying Prayers

Everynight we have the same routine and if we leave anything out Crawford reminds us!! Especially if 1 of the 3 books is left out! After we read the three books we have been saying our prayers. We say two and I always tell Crawford to fold his hands. Tonight when I said lets say our prayers he folded his hands all on his own and looked up at me and smiled. He kept them closed the entire time we prayed and then just as he does anytime he knows he has done something good....He clapped!! He just melts my heart!! I was so proud of him!

Oh yeah...this little moment made me forget about how he was kicking me earlier and I put him in timeout ....and he kept getting up and coming over and hugging me! He knows how to make my heart melt and give in!! But I didn't give in..I promise!! Well I sort of didn't give in! Next time I will not give in Crawford if you kick Mommy you have to go to timeout and it's not funny!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I am going to miss my two favorite boys as I am off to the Beach with the girls! Can't wait to see what they get into!! I hope they take some pictures!!
